OPEN Chicago – Annual Technology Leadership Event

OPEN Chicago is proud to honour Rafiq Mohammadi as the keynote speaker for our annual technology leadership event.  Mohammadi is one of the biggest success stories of the Pakistani American community.

Rafiq Mohammadi

Rafiq Mohammadi served as general manager, Promote, of HP Autonomy, a business unit within HP software.  In this role, he was responsible for defining the business vision, direction and goals of Promote, as well as driving the sales, marketing, service delivery and development organizations working to exceed business objectives.

Mohammadi has more than 15 years of experience in the content management space.  He served as group chief technology officer (CTO) of HP Autonomy, after the completion of HP Autonomy’s acquisition of Interwoven.  He co-founded iManage, Inc. in 1995.  He also played the role of CTO at iManage where he was a key member of the team that successfully built the company from a start-up to a profitable and growing publicly traded software company that went IPO within four years.  After the Interwoven’s acquisition of iManage in 2004, Rafiq was CTO of Interwoven for four years, where he helped the company to establish its dominant market leadership in both Web Content Management and Document Management.

Mohammadi holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Chicago and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
